We have an aversion to ‘Copy & Paste’ gardens. We love being creative & coming up with designs that fit the people, creatures & home that we design for & the atmosphere that you want to feel while in your garden. We provide 3D videos to help you visualise the possibilities. We provide detailed plans, drawings & mood boards so the landscape contractor knows exactly what he needs to quote for. & Lastly we coordinate contractors & supplier deliveries for a smooth installation.
This is difficult to say, but think about what you do want to include in your garden & think about what you can afford & we will be honest about what is doable & what is not. There are cost saving items ie choosing different finishes to accommodate your budget, choosing smaller plants & wait for them to grow or installing the garden in phases to accommodate your budget.
There are a wide range of things to consider but a rough estimate is about £150 to £240 / m². A well designed garden will cost approximately 10% of the value of your property.
Changing one aspect of a garden design might affect other areas to have to move or change size which might affect the overall design to fall apart, but as long as the changes are small, we can do these free of charge. In a case where we need to go back to the drawing board we can discuss a fee.
At the start of the installation, the landscaper will set out the design with spray paint, we will walk through the design & make sure it all fits together & we won’t have any surprises. It does sometimes happen that a finish is not available in the required quantities or we simply change our mind, you are entitled to, it is your garden after all. Should this happen we will discuss with you any cancellation charges from suppliers or transport costs to return items, & find a way forward.
You can redo your garden at any time of the year except in very cold & wet weather as this makes one enormous mess, takes longer & destroys the soil structure. We also won’t line up a garden installation in extremely dry & hot conditions as this might cause plants to wilt if not watered very well.
We love going on a sourcing trip for those specimen shrubs & trees at our specialist wholesale & trade nurseries.
We can not guarantee the plants, as there are a few factors involved i.e. watering, weather, pets, pests & sometimes humans, but please contact us the minute you notice an issue with plants during the establishing period of approximately 4 months & we will contact the grower / supplier for advise or replacement. If the grower / supplier does agree to replace the plant, the delivery fee will need to be charged.
